Why would you need to do that which infact you could boot into safe mode with networking once you reboot ur rig and at first sight of POST power on self test hit the F8 key a few time and that would lead you to safe mode option.

I even tried manually disabling all the services except the Microsoft services as Windows Update was shown as stopped-but that was just a waste of time.
