The issue I am having a problem with is a mouse cursor freeze when I select an object with no command active. When I select an object, the cursor will freeze for about a second before I can move it again. Source: graphics. Slow object selection preview highlighting. AutoCAD and higher previews the selected objects hoover by thickening the objects under cursor.. If you are slowed down by this function in large drawings e. On some computers, AutoCAD reacts slowly about 1 sec delay on a picked dimension object.
This is caused by a problem with displaying graphics in the Properties palette. Get Connected. With Add selected option you can create an object in drawing like polyline, circle, dimension, Block etc with the properties of an existing object from the drawing. For example, If you have a dimension in the drawing which is not on current layer and has a particular dimension style then you can directly select this option to create a new dimension copying exactly same properties of layer and dimension style.

Someone here asks for help Message was edited by: cadbydx. Message 12 of Message 13 of It is not possible for you to see my 'affected' drawing, since at the odd times it has happened, I have simply re-hatched the areas in question without disturbing those that still display correctly and do not require any editing, and have moved on. I thanked you for the suggestion, and always reply to those who comment on a post I make, usually without rancour. If I had an occurrence right now, you can be assured that I would try your suggestion.
However, I would still like to know just for the comprehension of the theory how you think resetting the hatch base would make any difference to the density of display that seems to be related to the difference between metric and imperial units. On the other hand, I can say it with very near absolute certainty, since the others who work on the drawings don't even know about the UCS commands or how to use them sad but true - and before you ask - yes I checked with them.
I have been on these newsgroups for years and years, both as a requester of help and as an occasional contributor and am pleased to say that such tetchiness is comparatively infrequent. Message 14 of It is something that happens without conscious intervention I believe, just because there are both metric and imperial based drawings and blocks around in my and their drawing folders.
It is not a major problem for me, just a minor annoyance, and only happens occasionally. If it became a regular occurrence, then I would probably write a short lisp program to flag up such things each time a drawing was opened. I wonder if you have got the answer that solves your problem. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I had the same problem.
